In a damper built-in type front fork in this sort, the attetion is provided that the oil pressure in the extension side operating oil chamber T of a damper 5 to communicate through a rear side valve 14 in a compression operation time becomes higher in a low speed area than in a high speed area, the extension side operating oil chamber T is communicated to a reservior chamber R through a relief valve 22 which is opened by the oil pressure in the extension side operating oil chamber T at the low speed area in the compression operation time, together in an extension operation time, and the generation of a bottoming is prevented and the riding comfortability is improved, by reducing the pressure side attenuation property in the low speed area by the relief valve 22.
