Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight and the cost of a spacer and to prevent the spacer from interfering with boots when it is mounted to a steering device and used.
SOLUTION: An annular metal part 22 of a damping spacer 21 is formed in a disk and has a plurality of depressions 23 at least on one side thereof in a circumferential direction and damping members 24 projecting from the side of the annular metal part 22 in the depressions 23. This reduces the diameter of the annular metal part 22 and hence the weight and the cost thereof and prevents the spacer 21 from interfering with boots when it is mounted to a steering device.
