In the data acquisition management apparatus, a polling destination list indicating a result of distributing polling destinations to a plurality of data acquisition servers and a communication record recording information indicating normal communication with the plurality of data acquisition servers are previously stored. When normal communication with the data acquisition servers is performed, the communication record is updated, the data acquisition servers capable of performing normal communication are specified based on the updated communication record. When the number of data acquisition servers capable of performing normal communication is varied, polling destinations are redistributed and the polling destination list is updated according to the redistribution result.
