PURPOSE: To efficiently manage data substance not being housed in the table of a relational data base with uniform length by providing a substance name storage string managing part and a substance storage part, and referring to the same substance from plural fields.
CONSTITUTION: When a request to take out the data substance relating to a designated substance name is issued from a data editing part 13 or a data retrieval part 14 to a data managing part 15, the data managing part 15 refers to the substance name storage string managing part 17, and takes out the data substance relating to a data substance name from the substance storage part. In such a way, it is possible to manage the data substance not being housed in the table of the relational data base with uniform length. Furthermore, by referring to the same data substance from the plural fields by a managing method to show the same character string of the data substance name, it is possible to save a storage area and to reduce a load on management.
