Patent Searching and Data

Title:
DATA INPUT DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09138721
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain information about the same as in a conventional one with the smaller number of sensors than the conventional number by converting force added to a detection means to force in the direction of grasping the belly of a finger and force provided with a prescribed angle with the grasping force.

An operator grasps an data input device 30 with the his/her palm like covering it. At this time the tip parts of his/her first and second fingers are placed the depressions 13 and 14. Pressure sensors 11a to 11d and 12a to 12d are mounted to the depressions 13 and 14 to detect the depressing force of the fingers to each direction. At the time of pressurizing the pressure sensors 12b and 12c fitted to the slope of the depression 14 by a finger 26, the pressurizing force of the finger is detected as force Fb by the pressure sensor 12b and as Fc by the pressure sensor 12c. Namely the two force of Fb and Fc are converted into vertical force (the force of trying to bend and grasp the finger 26) and horizontal force (the force of trying to spread the finger 26).
