The data management device is provided with an attribute value storage part 102 storing attribute values by attribute type for respective data, an attribute type designation receipt part 103 receiving designation of an attribute type serving as a reference in setting a high rank group and a low rank group respectively, a hierarchy display control part 104 displaying a virtual hierarchical structure for classifying each of the data to a low rank group corresponding to its attribute value after setting the high rank group and the low rank group by attribute value of the designated attribute type, a data designation receipt part 105 receiving designation of any data, and a data display control part 106 for displaying the designated data on a screen.
