Abstract:
To provide a data duplex controller replacing hard disk devices for failure without deteriorating access performance and of adding a new device as a single unit in a mirrored disk configuration.
A mirror ID other than a master ID to be allocated to the hard disk device is provided. A disk controller avoids disk accesses by mirroring reconfiguration of a read request from a host by using the ID to change an accessed party dynamically. Only by adding and changing the master ID and the mirror ID, a hard disk device as a unit can be added.
