Abstract:
To calculate a discrete optimization problem shown by a high-order evaluation function without increasing the number of independent variables.SOLUTION: A processing unit 12 reads out a coefficient (Z) showing magnitude of interaction among k state variables (xj1-xjk) (k is an integer of 3 larger) included in the k-th term of an evaluation function, calculates a local field (hjnXY) indicating a variation of the k-th term when a value of xjn out of xj1-xjk changes based on values of xj1-xjk, a value of yjn obtained based on coefficients (σj1-σjk) showing influence of each of xj1-xjk on a variable (for example yjn), and Z, and determines whether or not to accept a change of the value of xjn based on a comparison result of a predetermined value and a product of a variation (Δxjn) of xjn and a sum of a local field (hjnXX) indicating a variation of the second-order and lower terms of the evaluation function when the value of xjn changes, and hjnXY.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
