A recording medium driving device 10 is provided with a recording medium data storage circuit 12 that stores the driving data of each recording medium which is needed in the case of driving the recording medium. A data processor 20 has at least an access control circuit 21 reading each driving data, a CPU 22, a ROM storing various programs, etc., executed by the CPU 22, a RAM used for the work area, etc., of the CPU 22 and an HDD storing the program and data of the OS, etc.
