Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make the reference level of a regenerative RF signal constant for the optical magnetic disk.

CONSTITUTION: A bulk erasing is operated so as to provide a whole recording surface with the magnetic pole of a single direction by magnetizing a whole optical disk 1 in a strong magnetic field and then, the regenerative RF signal from a mirror surface existent in the address area of this optical magnetic disk is detected by a sample pulse P(M) at the time of regeneration. With this detected level as a clamp voltage the clamping of the regenerative RF signal regenerated by the data recording area is operated at a clamp circuit 11.
