Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the data transfer capability by using a communication equipment in the standby side to transfer a user data when a duplicated token ring is not faulty nor in the diagnostic state, and the active side is busy.
CONSTITUTION: A link selection circuit 17 or 18 of communication equipments 1 - 8 of duplicated token rings 9,10 is not faulty in both the active and the standby systems, the standby side is no in the diagnostic state and the active side is busy, a standby side operating request from the communication equipment is used to transfer the user data and the data transfer capability of the token ring system is improved.
