In the case records being objects in a range unit are read in the cache areas 104 of the self and other processes when retrieval processing that spans ranges are continuously carried out because a cache is prepared in the unit of specific process, table and range, records in the areas 104 are compared without accessing a database. In the case an updating request comes from another process, the records in the areas 104 are nullified to make updating possible.
