Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance the reliability by splitting a high tension conductor into a plurality of sections in the axial direction of a metal vessel filled with an insulating gas and providing gap parts on a circle between the split sections of high tension conductor thereby inhibiting the movement of a linear foreign matter.

CONSTITUTION: A high tension conductor 20 is disposed in a metal vessel 1 being divided in the axial direction into a plurality of high tension conductor sections 20a, 20b and 20c connected through conduction conductors 20d, 20e. Gap parts 20ab and 20bc are provided between the conductor sections in the circumferential direction thereof. When a linear foreign matter present in the metal vessel 1 is raised, floated and attracted to the high tension conductor 20 by the static electricity of DC operating voltage due to some impact, it is attracted into the gap part 20ab or 20bc as the time elapses. Since the gap parts 20ab and 20bc are covered with a potential identical to that of the high tension conductor 20, the electric field thereof is weak. Consequently, the linear foreign matter attracted into the gap part 20ab, 20bc is not substantially subjected to electrostatic force but trapped therein.
