Title:
DC-TO-DC CONVERTER USING PRIMARY WINDING OF TRANSFORMER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3732012
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the output turning to a DC power source without changing an internal transformer of a DC/DC converter by rectifying a pulse voltage generated in a primary side coil, and outputting the voltage as a DC voltage power source.
SOLUTION: In a DC/DC converter requiring a plurality of outputs, a transformer constituted of a primary coil 11 and a secondary coil 12 is installed. The collector of an NPN type transistor Tr1 is connected with the primary coil L1 in which a DC voltage is inputted. Diodes D1, D2 are connected with contacts (b), (c) of the secondary coil L2, and a contact (a) is grounded. In such a DC/DC converter, the output signal of an output terminal 4 is fed back to a control circuit 2. As a result, the timing of turning on and off of the transistor Tr1 is controlled, corresponding to the output signal. When the transistor operates, VIN is applied directly to the primary side coil L1, so that energy is stored in the primary side coil, and this is supplied as a voltage.
