To prevent the damage to a dead body put in a coffin body with easy handling and low power consumption by arranging a cold air generating device on a part of the inner surface of a cover for covering the upper part of the coffin in airtight state instead of the lid of the coffin body for housing the body.
A cold air generating device 30 is arranged on the inner surface of the cover 20 of a dead body cold reserving device. As the cold air generating device 30, a cooling cycle accompanying compression and expansion of cold medium can be utilized, a thermionic cooling device utilizing Peltier effect can be also adapted. When the cold air generating device 30 is installed to the cover 20, radiation is performed by forming the releasing part of a radiation fan on the upper surface or side surface of the cover 20. In order to prevent the infection, a sterilizing and deodorizing unit is added to the cold air generating device. The sterilizing and deodorizing unit is formed of an ozone generating device, and the generated ozone is mixed to the cold air blown out from the cold air generating device 30.
