Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove the burrs existing on all ridge lines including the finely worked portion of a yoke component reliably and efficiently by applying barrel polishing then magnetic polishing to the yoke component of a low-carbon steel generating burrs.
SOLUTION: Burrs 11, 12 protruded outward along the penetrating direction of a through hole 2 have roots larger than tips and cannot be removed by only magnetic polishing. When barrel polishing is applied to a yoke component 1 in above burr state, an abrasive material 3 collides with the burrs 11, 12 and pushes the burrs 11, 12 inward (in the direction of the through hole 2). Although the burrs 11, 12 are not removed by the barrel polishing, they are rolled, and their roots are made fine. Since the roots of the burrs 11, 12 are made fine by the barrel polishing, the burrs 11, 12 are removed by the magnetic polishing when it is applied, then chemical polishing is applied.
