Title:
DECANTER TYPE CENTRIFUGAL DEWATERING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DEWATERONG USING THE APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3609351
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption, prevent the enlargement of an apparatus and its unreasonable design, and obtain a high dewatering-efficiency in a decanter type centrifugal dewatering apparatus.
SOLUTION: The apparatus is provide with a rotational bowl 1 which is basically cylinder-shaped with one end side of the inner peripheral part tapered off and supported rotatably around a center axis line O, a screw conveyer 7 coaxially disposed in the rotational bowl 1 and supported rotatably in the same direction with the difference in speed from the rotational bowl 1. Solid/ liquid separation of materials P to be treated fed to an annular space C between the screw conveyer 7 and the rotational bowl 1 from the central part in the direction of the axis line O is performed by the centrifugal force of the rotational bowl 1, the solid S can be discharged from a solid discharge opening 4 opened at one end side of the annular space C, a valve body 14 to be adjustable for the amount of discharge of the solid S is installed in the solid discharge opening 4, and the separated liquid L is discharged from a separated liquid passage 11 opened at the inner peripheral side of the annular space C in the other end side in the direction of the axial line O.
