Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make available various characteristics such as mechanical strength e.g. wear resistance, and solvent resistance as required for use application in furniture and residential equipment by constituting a surface protecting layer of a water coating agent containing an active energy beam-curable water resin composition such as specifically composed to have an outstanding affinity with water ink.
SOLUTION: This decorative paper with reinforced surface contains bi- or more- functional urethane acrylate having an acryloyl group on both terminals in an active energy beam-curable water resin composition as expressed by formula. In the formula, R is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; X is an isocyanate residue; and Y is a divalent alcohol residue. Thus it is possible to form a surface protecting layer showing an outstanding balance of physical properties such as solvent resistance and water resistance by irradiating the coat of a water coating agent for the surface protecting layer with an active energy beam such as ultraviolet beam after the formation of said coat. This is because the bi- or more-functional urethane acrylate which works as an emulsifier acts as one of the components of a crosslinking agent through a chemical reaction with another polymerizable resin composition component.
