Abstract:
To provide a method of manufacturing a decorative component, the method being capable of applying a decoration with a gradation of luster to a surface of the decorative component, regardless of change of the scanning direction of a laser beam, and a decorative component, on a surface of which decorative component is applied a decoration with a gradation of luster, regardless of change of the scanning direction of a laser beam.SOLUTION: When a plurality of ditches K linearly extending along a scanning direction (length direction L) are formed on an upper surface 12d of a middle piece 12 by scanning a pulsed laser beam, the plurality of ditches are formed in a manner that the ditches are gradually switched in at least three types of intervals from relatively wide intervals to relatively narrow intervals along the width direction W, such that a decoration with a luster gradation gradually changing in the width direction W is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
