Title:
DECOUPLING CAPACITOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3275826
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a capacitor from falling off a substrate even if the diameter of the capacitor is considerably smaller than the inner diameter of a through hole by connecting a shade type terminal to one terminal of a core electrode being provided at the center of a dielectric.
SOLUTION: A decoupling capacitor is inserted into a through hole 8 of a substrate 9 for use. The capacitor is composed of a cylindrical outer wall electrode 2 with a smaller inner diameter of the through hole 8, a dielectric 3 that is filled into the outer wall electrode 2, a core electrode 7 being provided at the center of the dielectric 3. and a shade-type terminal 1 being connected to one terminal of the core electrode 7. At this time, the height from the bottom surface of the shade-type terminal 1 to the inner ceiling surface is higher than the upper end of the through hole 8 being exposed to the upper surface of the substrate 9, thus preventing the capacitor from falling from the substrate 9 even if the diameter of the capacitor is much smaller than the inner diameter of the through hole 8 and eliminating an erroneous packaging by using the shade-type terminal 1 for discriminating polarity in the case of a polarized capacitor.
