Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection device capable of protecting a moving object such as a human from disturbances such as rain, snow, hail, sunlight, and ultraviolet ray without mounting an umbrella on the moving object such as a human body.SOLUTION: The protection device includes an umbrella part for protecting a moving object from predetermined disturbances by covering the moving object from above, an aerial movement mechanism for causing the umbrella part to make an aerial movement, an aerial movement driving part, an imaging part, a transmission signal reception part for receiving a predetermined transmission signal transmitted from the moving object, and a control part. Upon receipt of the predetermined transmission signal by the transmission signal reception part, the control part: recognizes a moving body at a transmission source as the moving object; stores an image of the recognized moving object, which is captured by the imaging part; on the basis of the stored captured image, controls the aerial movement driving part so that the aerial movement of the device by the aerial movement mechanism follows the movement of the recognized moving object; and thereby protects the moving object from the predetermined disturbances by the umbrella part even while the moving object is moving.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
