Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a deflection roller to be easily replaced using a simple and compact constitution and with a small number of personnel.SOLUTION: A method for replacing a deflection roller for a belt conveyor includes the steps of: slackening a conveyor belt 2 and screwing-in a push bolt 15 provided in a support bracket 12 for supporting both ends of a roller body 11; widening a gap between a mounting part 12b and a mounting surface 13 of the support bracket 12 and removing a liner 14 from the gap; loosening the push bolt 15 again to secure a gap C between the roller body 11 and the conveyor belt 2; removing the roller body 11 and mounting a new roller body 11 to the support bracket 12; and fastening the conveyor belt 2 again by loosening the push bolt 15 after re-fitting the liner 14.
