PURPOSE: To improve the convergence properties by providing the first auxiliary coil on a pair of horizontal deflection coils respectively while applying a vertical deflection current to a pair of second auxiliary coils magnetically connected with said first auxiliary coil.

CONSTITUTION: The auxiliary secondary coils 2A and 2B are serially connected with one or the other horizontal coils 1A and 1B respectively. And one auxiliary primary coil 3A and the other auxiliary coil 3B are magnetically connected with one and the other auxiliary secondary coils 2A and 2B respectively while further the vertical deflection current is applied to. And, for instance, the auxiliary coils 2A, 3A, 2B and 3B together with the horizontal deflection coils 1A and 1B are wound round the core 4 while magnetically connecting the horizontal deflection coils with the auxiliary coils thus removing slippage of convergence.
