Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To demodulate modulation data with a wide allowable margin dynamically with respect to pulse width distortion of high frequency data only when the frequency of the modulation data changes from a low frequency into a high frequency.
SOLUTION: This method is a demodulation method for pulse width modulation data in which binary data consisting of 'Os' and '1's are modulated into two kinds of pulse width data consisting of low and high frequency pulses, the pulse width of modulated pulse width data d0 is measured and the result is demodulated into data consisting of '0's and '1's. The demodulator receives a modulation demodulation clock signal CLK used to sample modulation data d0, and is provided with a demodulation circuit 1 and an error detection circuit 2 and has an allowable margin with respect to pulse width distortion of the measured modulation data d0 and the margin is extended for the pulse width of the high frequency pulse only when the modulation data changes from the low frequency pulse into the high frequency pulse.
