Title:
DENSITY MEASURING DEVICE FOR ULTRA-LOW TEMPERATURE FLUID
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3652890
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of errors in a measured result caused by variation of a light path length in antennas for introducing a microwave into an ultra-low temperature fluid, in a density measuring device for measuring a density of the very low temperature fluid, based on a dielectric constant provided by introducing the microwave into the ultra-low temperature fluid such as slush hydrogen to measure the dielectric constant.
SOLUTION: A pair of patch antennas 1 are immersed to be faced each other into slush hydrogen 3 for measuring density, microwave is introduced in one of the antenna 1 through a coaxial cable 2, and it is received by the other of the antennas 1. The dielectric constant of the slush hydrogen 3 is found based on a phase change of the microwave passing through the inside of the slush hydrogen 3 existing between the antennas 1, and a density of the slush hydrogen 3 is measured based on the dielectric constant.
