Title:
DEODORIZER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3430955
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a component containing an amino group is released from a porous substance as a carrier and make an acidic gas and a basic adsorbed keeping their balance by setting the number of hydroxy groups to be bonded with a silicon compound containing the amino group in a specific ratio to the total number of the hydroxy groups on the surface of the porous substance.
SOLUTION: The number of hydroxy groups to be bonded with a silicon component containing an amino group is set to be 0.1-10% of the total number of the hydroxy groups on the surface of a porous substance forming a carrier of deodorizer. In addition, in the silicon compound containing the amino group, one piece or more of the amino group and a single functional group for bonding to be bonded with the hydroxy group of the surface of the porous substance, are included. Consequently, when the deodorizer is, for example, mixed with a binder such as an emulsion of an acrylic resin, there is no fear that the silicon compound containing the amino group might be released from the carrier (porous substance). Further, the amino group adsorbs an acidic gas component represented by aldehydes and, at the same time, the hydroxy group adsorbs a basic gas component represented by amines or ammonia.
