Abstract:

PURPOSE: To simply and surely enable descaling a hardly exfoliative scale by applying a specified highly pressurized water on a steel sheet before a finish rolling.

CONSTITUTION: As a descaling method at hot rolling the hot rolled steel sheet, the descaling is performed by the highly pressurized water jet possessed of a high impulse pressure of ≥2g/mm2 per unit spraying area. In this way, the hardly exfoliative scale impossible to exfoliate formerly is surely removed without various working restrictions and the generation of the scale defect at rolling can be prevented.
