Abstract:
PURPOSE:To compact the whole structure of a machine tool by providing a drive member for actuating an arm middle axis in the side of the arm middle axis. CONSTITUTION:A hollow main axis 25 is supported by reciprocating movement in an axis line direction and free pivoting around an axis line with a casing in the vicinity of an end part in a side where a tool exchange arm 17 is fixed, and with the inner peripheral surface of a hollow hole provided on a pivoting member 29 in the other end part side. Moreover a hollow main-axis drive means, giving the reciprocating movement in the axis line direction and pivoting around the axis line to the hollow main axis 25 itself, is arranged between these two supporting parts, and also a pivoting member drive means, making the pivoting member 29 itself reciprocating pivoting around the axis line and also an arm middle axis 31 actuate, is provided on the side of the pivoting member 29 to the pivoting member 29.
