PURPOSE: To enhance quick operation capability of a substrate type resistor and thermal fuse in which a film conductor and a film resistor are formed on one surface of a ceramic substrate, a low melting point metal piece is connected to the film conductor, and the film resistor and the low melting point metal piece is connected with the film conductor.

CONSTITUTION: A film resistor 3 is set at one end on one surface of a ceramic substrate 1, and film conductors 2a, 2b are formed across each end of the film resistor 3 and the other end of the substrate 1. A low melting point metal piece 5 is connected to the midway of the conductor 2b, and lead wires 7a, 7b are connected to the film conductors 2a, 2b respectively. The one surface of the ceramic substrate 1 is covered with an insulating cover 8.
