Abstract:
PURPOSE:To display a sprite picture on a background picture by recording a datum for displaying the background picture and the image data of a sprite moving picture by as much as one screen on a recording medium in a state where they can be separated. CONSTITUTION:An image datum for constituting the background picture and the image datum of the moving picture being the sprite picture displayed on a part of the background picture are compressed. The data are formed as the data of a specified unit amount with a positional datum showing the displayed position of the sprite picture on the background picture in a state where they can be respectively separated, and repeatedly recorded on the recording medium 5. Next, the image datum of the background picture and the sprite picture datum from the recording medium 5 are expanded and written in different memory areas 15. Then, the image data from the respective image memory areas 15 are read out, and the background picture is displayed on a display for displaying 8 and the sprite picture is displayed at a position decided by the positional datum on the background.
