Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a simple structured desk which can be used for optional purposes and in which a monitor can be stored. CONSTITUTION: This desk has a worktop 1 with an opening 5 and an optional monitor C with a display screen 2. The opening 5 has a flat plane shape almost corresponding to the shape of the display screen 2. The monitor C has a housing 3 placed adjacent to the opening 5 area. And the desk has also a supporting means including supporting straps 16, 17 attached aslant to support the monitor C, and suspending elements attached under the worktop 1. The supporting straps 16, 17 are fixed at the suspending elements, and the suspending elements are placed in front of the front edge of the opening 5 and behind the rear edge of the opening 5. The intervals between the suspending elements and between the supporting straps 16, 17 fixed at the suspending elements are narrower than the width of the housing 3 of the monitor C, and the housing 3 is supported by the supporting straps 16, 17.
