PURPOSE: To adjust the vertical direction of a display device in the proper direction according to a using condition by forming a part of a top plate as a display device placeable movable top plate, and supporting the movable top plate so as to be freely tiltable in the forward tilting and backward tilting directions as well as to be freely fixable at a desired tilt angle.
CONSTITUTION: A top plate 10 of a desk T1 is composed of a rectangular movable top plate 11 on which a display device D such as a personal computer can be placed and a fixed top plate 12 composed of a part except the movable top plate 11. In the rear side part of the fixed top plate 12, the under surface sides on both sides of a front end part of the movable top plate 11 are rotatably supported with the fixed top plate 12 through a hinge 15, and the movable top plate 11 rotates with the hinge 15 as a fulcrum, and is made tiltable in the forward tilting and backward tilting directions. Therefore, the vertical direction of the display device D can be adjusted in the proper direction according to a using condition.
