A mount detection circuit 40 of the radio equipment detects that the radio equipment is mounted on the charger and a control circuit 24 receiving its signal throws a reception voice changeover switch 10 and a transmission voice changeover switch 15 to the position of the charger, then a speech in hand-free is continued while charging the radio equipment by mounting the radio equipment on the charger even when the speech is not finished in a state where the capacity of the battery is going to be worn out. Even in the case of charging the radio equipment in the standby state, the standby state is continued while charging the radio equipment without interrupting the standby state.
