Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desulfurization method and apparatus capable of using a hydrodesulfurization agent stably for a long term with high activity in spite of a simple apparatus configuration, thereby enabling stable supply of a sulfur component-removed fuel gas to a fuel gas utilization apparatus such as a fuel cell power generation system.SOLUTION: Steam is added to a fuel gas P containing sulfur components, and then the fuel gas P is passed sequentially through a steam reforming catalyst 2b that performs a reforming reaction in which hydrogen gas is generated from the fuel gas P in the presence of the steam and a hydrodesulfurization agent 2a that removes sulfur compounds from a fuel gas containing sulfur compounds, thereby removing the sulfur components in the fuel gas P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
