PURPOSE: To shorten the time of vaporization of water, to miniaturize a desulfurization tower and to reduce the number of nozzles for the water spray by spraying water for moisturizing previously into inlet flue of the desulfurizing tower and spraying water into the desulfurization tower, as well.
CONSTITUTION: Desulfurizing agent is pneumatically transfered into desulfurizing agent supply line 9 from a desulfurizing agent bin 10 and dispersed uniformly into the flue 3 by using ejector or Venturi tube, etc. Thereafter in the flue 3, water is sprayed by using a water spray nozzle 4a and vaporization is executed to increase temp. in flue 3 and the desulfurizing agent is sent into the desulfurization reaction tower 5. In the desulfurization reactor 5, water feeding is executed from the water spray nozzle 4b to obtain moisture suitable for the desulfurization reaction. The desulfurizing agent reacted in the desulfurization reaction tower 5 is settled and deposited with dust in a hopper 13 provided on the lower part of the desulfurization reaction tower. This deposited material is taken out from this system from ash taking out line 14. Meanwhile, exhaust gas incorporating a part of the desulfurizing agent and dust is taken out from duct 12 communicated with the dust collector 6.
