Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method for a bovine chromosomal chimera which can be performed more simply at a lower cost compared with conventional methods, and to provide an inspection method for a bovine freemartinism, as well as a kit for performing these inspection methods.SOLUTION: A bovine chromosomal chimera is detected by analyzing a base sequence in a collected sample from the nasal cavity using a sample collected. Bovine freemartinism is also detected by analyzing the base sequence in the collected sample using the sample collected from the nasal cavity, resulting in performing in a simpler and lower cost manner than a method using a blood sample. The load on bovine and the risk of infection can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
