Abstract:
PURPOSE: To inexpensively determine coagulation parameters in a sample by measuring a thrombin-catalyzed formation of a fibrin clot in the presence of FXIII activation inhibitor, an inhibitor, etc., for FXIIIA itself and reusing a reactor several times.
CONSTITUTION: Determination of thrombin-catalyzed formation of a fibrin clot is carried out in the presence of hydroxylamine, iodoacetic acid or N- ethylmaleimide, etc., as XIII factor (FXIII) activation inhibitor, an inhibitor for activated XIII factor (FXIIIA) itself or FXIIIA fibrin crosslinking activity inhibitor to determine coagulation parameters. Then, after first determination, a solution which abolishes the mutual affinity of fibrin molecules is added to a measuring vessel and the determination vessel is emptied and washed once or several times with water, preferably distilled water and coagulation parameters of the following sample are inexpensively and efficiently determined in the determination vessel.
