PURPOSE: To obtain an invariably excellent copy image by bringing a rotating roll into surface contact with the nonphotosensitive surface of a photosensitive belt.
CONSTITUTION: A magnetic roll 5 arranged at a prescribed interval to the photosensitive surface of the photosensitive belt 2 is held at both sides rotatably by magnetic roll holding members 11. A projection part 12 is provided on the outer circumferential surface of the magnetic roll 5 at the center part of the upper end edge, and a V-shaped groove 13 is formed. The rotating roll 6 has its bearing 8 fallen in the V-shaped groove to requrate the position, and also maintains constant interval to the magnetic roll 5. The photosensitive body 2 in slide contact with the outer circumferential surface of the rotating roll 6 is extended pressed slightly against the magnetic roll 5, so it comes into surface contact with the rotating roll 6. The prescribed gap and relative angle between the magnetic roll 5 and photosensitive body 2 are held constant to obtain a developing device with high reliability.
