PURPOSE: To accomplish a developing device which can provide a normal image after continuous copying by coating the surface of a toner supply member with a composition containing at least one compound out of two and impressing a bias of a negative potential lower than a conveying member.
CONSTITUTION: In formula I, R1 is hydrogen atom; R2, an alkyl group of 1W10 carbon atoms; R3, a substituted or nonsubstituted allyl group, and R4, an aralkyl group or amino group, and these may be the same or different at the same time. In addition, (n) is an integer of 1W10. In expression II, R5 and R6 are an alkyl group of 1W10 carbon atoms, and these may be the same or different at the same time. In addition, X means a hydrogen atom, alkyl group of 1W10 carbon atoms, alkoxyl group, substituted or nonsubstituted allyl group, aralkyl group, or amino group. The surface of the toner supply member is coated with a composition containing one out of compounds complying with expressions I and II, and a bias of a negative potential of 0W500V lower than the conveying member is impressed on the surface; therefore the developing device can be accomplished which can provide a high quality image identical to an initial image after continuous copying.
