Abstract:
To shorten the time required for leading to normal circulation after reverse circulation in comparison to a case of repeating at the same ratio a step of conveying a developer in the reverse direction to the predetermined direction and a step of conveying the developer in the predetermined direction when a load required for conveyance of the developer exceeds a reference value.SOLUTION: A development device 40 comprises: a housing 72 in which a circulation path is formed by an agitation path 72D in which a developer G to be delivered to a development roll 60 flows, a supply path 72C which is arranged so as to deviate from the agitation path 72D in the gravity direction, and a first connection port 72K and a second connection port 72L that connect the agitation path 72D and the supply path 72C; and an agitation auger 68 being the agitation auger 68 which conveys the developer G in the circulation path by operating in the housing 72, conveys the developer in the forward direction F when a load torque in a time T1 during normal conveyance is equal to or less than a reference value VL, conveys the developer G in the reverse direction R when the load torque in the time T1 during normal conveyance is greater than the reference value VL, and normally conveys the developer G when the load torque during reverse conveyance or after reverse conveyance is equal to or less than a permissible value AL.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
