PURPOSE: To provide a means to improve the safety and workability in cleaning the pouring port of a metal holding furnace.

CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical body 8 whose outer side is guided by the pouring port 6 and which can be housed from the lower part in the lower part of the pouring port 6 is provided in a vertical manner to the base body 9. A body of rotation 10 which is coaxially rotatable with the cylindrical body 8 is provided in an erectable manner to the base body 9 so that the upper part 10a may be projected from the lower part to the upper part of the cylindrical body 8 and faced in the pouring port 6, and at the same time, a rotating device A to rotate the body of rotation 10 and an elevating device B to elevate the body of rotaion 10 are provided. A blade 13 to scrape the adhered stuff to the pouring port 6 is provided on the outer circumferential part of the upper part of the body of rotation 10.
