PURPOSE: To provide a member with a simple shape and a device for assembling the pertinent members operating as a bendable elastic beam which exactly functions and enables high precise measurement.

CONSTITUTION: A device which confirms the mechanical characteristic of a coin is provided with a beam 1. The beam is an elastic body which can be bent by the longitudinal movement of a coin in which at least one of terminals 2 is buried. This beam is formed of the slender plane strip of a natural steel, and a horizontal extended width part 4 is provided at one of the end parts, and introduced into an empty housing part 6 in an adjustable way. The housing part is formed in an identifying device, and the extended width part is held from outside by an anvil 8. The anvil is fixed to the identifying device, and pressurized against the strip 1 toward the housing part so that the strip can be projected in a certain longitudinal and horizontal inclination.
