Title:
DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING AMOUNT OF FUEL FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3144327
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the proper amount of fuel in response to the return flow of exhaust to prevent the deterioration of drivability in an internal combustion engine having an exhaust recirculation mechanism.
SOLUTION: A fuel injection valve 11 is arranged near the inner wall of a cylinder head 4 near the first intake valve 6a and the second intake valve 6b of an engine and the fuel from the fuel injection valve 11 is injected directly into a cylinder 1a. An EGR device 51 includes an EGR passage 52 and an EGR valve 53 and recirculates part of exhaust from an exhaust duct to an intake duct 20. When an EGR control is performed, an electronic control unit (ECU) 30 makes a basic amount of injection and an engine speed calculated based on the opening of accelerator parameters for calculating the amount of final injection, which has little effect on the amount of final injection. When the EGR control is not performed, the amount of final injection is calculated based on the intake pressure or the like of a detection signal according to the actual amount of intake because there is no EGR pulsation.
