Abstract:

To exactly engage a pair of engagement elements with each other by exactly meshing mating teeth to each other in a claw clutch using rectangular teeth as mating teeth.

The device (100) for controlling a claw clutch system including a claw clutch provided with a pair of engagement elements made by forming a plurality of rectangular mating teeth which are configured relatively rotatably in the direction intersecting the axial line direction, are arranged circularly around the axial line on respective opposite surfaces and have flat opposite surfaces includes: a detection means which detects differential rotational speed between a pair of engagement elements; a determination means which determines whether the pair of engagement elements are in such a contact state that the mating teeth come in contact with each other on the opposite surfaces; and a first control means which increases the differential rotational speed when it is determined that the pair of engagement elements are in the contact state and the detected differential rotational speed is less than a predetermined value.
