Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meandering controller for guiding a steel strip to a coiler or the like while applying tension to the steel strip after the tip or the tail end of the steel strip passes through a pinch roll.
SOLUTION: This meandering controller for steel strips is provided with a tiltable threading table 2 which is installed between the pinch roll 1 and the coiler 4, a truck 7 which is provided so as to run on runway rails 6 under the treading table, a operating cylinder 8 which is mounted on the truck and with which an electromagnet 9 is retractable on the threading table and a steel strip detector 14 for detecting the passage of the tip or the tail end of the steel strip 3 and sending a signal to the operating cylinder.
