PURPOSE: To smoothly deliver a piston ring on an assembling device.
CONSTITUTION: The outer diameter of a magazine 4 where a piston ring S is externally inserted is made larger than the inner diameter of the piston ring in a free condition. A shutter 62 to support the piston ring on the lowest side which is pushed out from the lower end of the magazine 4 at the position where the piston ring on the upper side is not pushed out from the lower end of the magazine, a clamper 72 to clamp the upper piston ring relative to the magazine 4, and an elevatable ring receiver 8 having a receiving part 82 which is smaller than the outer diameter of the magazine and larger than the inner diameter of the piston ring in a free condition on the upper end are provided. The clamper 72 is opened to fall the piston ring on the lowest side on the shutter 62. Then, the clamper 72 is closed to open the shutter 62, the piston ring on the lowest side is brought close to the receiving part 82 by its contracting force and the self-weight, and then, the ring receiver 8 is lowered, and the piston ring is delivered downward while the piston ring is held by the receiving part 82.
