Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automatically detect an extremely small wheel flat on the tread surface of the wheel of an electric car while the car is traveling.
CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with an acceleration detector 12 fitted to the driving mechanism of an electric car, acceleration detecting signal amplifier 13 which amplifies the detecting signal of the detector 12, and flat discriminator 14 which discriminates the variation of the periodical oscillation of the acceleration as a wheel flat on the tread surface of a wheel based on a signal from the amplifier 13.
