PURPOSE: To provide the device capable of directly extruding a high-quality product from molten metal.
CONSTITUTION: A passage 3 is formed by an endless groove 2 of a rotary wheel 1 provided with this endless groove 2 on its outer periphery and a stationary shoe 4 covering the endless groove 2. The molten metal 5 is continuously injected into one end of this passage 3. The molten metal 5 is solidified within the passage 3 and an extruding pressure is generated in a solidified body 8 by the contact friction resistance between the inside wall of the endless groove 2 and the solidified body 8 generated as the rotary wheel 1 rotates, by which the solidified body 8 is extruded through a die 10 arranged in front of the passage 3. The prescribed part on the side of the stationary shoe 4 constituting the passage 3 where molten metal 5 solidifies is formed of a solid material, such as graphite or silicon nitride, having self-lubricity. Then, the initially solidified layer moves on the stationary shoe 4 with the low friction resistance and, therefore, the generation of a defect in the initially solidified layer is obviated. The product having the high quality is thus extruded.
