Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the readhesion of dust of grinding on the inner circumferential surface of a cylinder by disposing a rotation-stopping means to an elevator of a prescribed inner circumferential surface-grinding device and further disposing a closing brush between the outer circumferential end surface of a rotator and the inner circumferential surface of the vertical hole. CONSTITUTION:A motor 21 is driven to operate a grinder 24 for grinding the inner circumferential surface 5 of an artificial quartz-growing cylinder 1, and a motor 19 is also driven to transfer the grinding position of the grinder 23 along the inner circumferential surface 5 of the cylinder 1. Further, a winch 10 is driven to lower the grinding position of the grinder, thereby permitting to automatically and uniformly grind the inner circumferential surface 5 of the cylinder 1. Since a brush 26 disposed on the outer circumference of a rotator 17 is rotated and separated from the ground positions of the inner wall of the cylinder 1, the grinding dust produced by the grinding work is not flied up to the ground positions above the rotator 17, thereby permitting to prevent the readhesion of the dust of grinding on the inner circumferential surface after ground.
