PURPOSE: To easily connect both ends of a side chain in the condition that a tire is installed so as to improve the efficiency of the work for installing the tire chain.
CONSTITUTION: A connecting rod 10 provided with a hook part 12, which is provided in one end 3a of one side chain 3 and which locks an end chain unit 2a of the other end 3b of the side chain 3, is used. A supporting part 21 for supporting the connecting rod 10 and a holding part 24 for holding the end chain unit 2a and to be freely moved between the locking position, in which the end chain unit 2a is locked with the hook part 12 of the connecting rod 10, and the separated position separated from the locking position are provided. A rod 25, which is provided in the holding part 24 and extended along the moving direction of the holding part 24, a rail 26, which is extended from the supporting part 21 along the rod 25 and which supports the holding part 24 freely to be moved between the locking position and the separated position, and a manual lever 27, which is provided in the rear end of the rod 25 and which moves the rod 25 so as to move the holding part 24, are provided.
